CirCon#85: The resale infrastructure behind The North Face and Lululemon
A huge thank you to Archive for sponsoring today’s newsletter!

Archive is a leading resale technology platform helping brands turn circularity into growth. From The North Face to Lululemon, Archive powers resale programmes that keep products in use longer while delivering revenue and new customer acquisition.
Happy Monday! Let’s get stuck in.
Circular Feature Showcase: Archive
Founded in 2021 by Emily Gittins (CEO) and Ryan Rowe (CTO), Archive was built on a conviction: brands shouldn’t lose control of their products after the first sale. Instead, they should be able to keep items in use longer, protect brand equity, and build a profitable growth channel through circularity.
Today, Archive powers some of the world’s most recognisable branded resale programmes, including The North Face Renewed, Lululemon Like New, New Balance Reconsidered, and Sandro Secondhand. The platform keeps products in circulation while driving customer loyalty, acquisition, and new revenue streams.
Built for Every Resale Model
Archive isn’t a one-size-fits-all marketplace plug-in. It’s designed to support any resale workflow, including peer-to-peer resale, trade-in (online and in-store), take-back and end-of-life routing, brand-owned inventory (returns, samples, excess), repair, and refurbishment.
That flexibility matters, because resale at scale is multi-faceted. It’s a blend of channels, inventory types, and operational realities that change by brand, category, geography, and customer expectations.
Resale WMS + AI = Scale, Margin, and Control
At the heart of Archive is a resale-specific WMS built for multi-condition, one-of-one inventory. It orchestrates intake, identification, grading, pricing, processing, inventory management, fulfilment, and exception handling.
Layered on top is Archive Intelligence, embedding AI across the platform to reduce manual work, increase throughput, improve decision-making, and ultimately drive better unit economics and customer experience.
Global Reach, Proven Programmes, Real Traction
Archive already powers branded resale in 10 countries across North America and Europe, and can support global launches from day one.
Brands can run operations through Archive’s network or their own warehouses, with the platform integrating into specialist reverse logistics partners including Tersus Solutions, nGroup, NuShoe, Advanced Clothing Solutions, and &Flow.
In February 2025, Archive raised a $30m Series B, taking total funding to $54m, and was recognised as a branded resale leader in the BoF-McKinsey State of Fashion 2026 report. A strong signal that brand-owned resale is rapidly becoming a core channel.
Archive’s future roadmap includes:
✅ Expanding global operations with localised logistics and supply strategies
✅ Investing in product innovation, AI-powered automation and resale intelligence
✅ Expanding into more product categories beyond apparel and footwear
✅ Scaling the resale businesses of their existing partners
Want to Learn More?
Archive works with retail brands across apparel, footwear, and accessories. With recent expansion into hard goods, they are looking to connect with teams operating resale across e-commerce, warehouses, and stores.
